ICF Helps Women Market their Products from the Humanitarian Fund for Small Businesses Project
01/07/2010

ICF recently funded the purchase of 42 domestic and industrial sewing machines, on 23rd June 2010 they were distributed in Al Kriet, Baghdad to widows and other women in need by the Humanitarian Charity to Protect People from Pollution as part of the Humanitarian Fund to Support Small Businesses recently launched by ICF. Due to the fact that the women have been so productive and determined to work, it was  decided that the next step to take was to provide marketing services for their products.

The project has received attention from another Iraqi Charity (Imam Hussein Charity) that now wants to set up a shop for the exclusive purpose of displaying the clothes and other products made by the women who took part in the project. The ICF representatives and those from the Humanitarian Charity to Protect the People met up earlier in the week to not only get the ball rolling for the setting up of a shop, but also decided to set up a temporary space fro the storage and exhibition of the products of the project.
