Citizens advice and care centre (najaf)
A health seminar was held on 13th February 2014 at the Hall Centre for the guidance and care of the citizens (a branch of Najaf) lectured by Dr. Mahdi Silawi who is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. The seminar was entitled “The environment and the health of the community”.
The Doctor spoke to an audience of more than 50 individuals. “What is benefiting the environment and human-induced changes in the environment and impacts on the health of the community?”
He explained to the audience the importance of choosing food regularly which is commensurate with the need for the body to produce proteins and sugars through diversification. Using simple examples it was shown that eating food excessively with a lack of diversity leads to the damage to one’s health.
The Doctor also stressed the need for continuous testing (i.e. sugar levels) and daily exercise in any form. Water quantities need to be commensurate with the demands of the body in summer and winter.
The Doctor listened to presentations and answered questions clearly. Everyone attending the seminar had a good interest in the topic.
The Centre forward guidance and care of the citizens (a branch of Najaf) gave thanks and appreciation to Rev. Dr. Mahdi Alsélawi for his cooperation and that lectures will continue, God willing.
